Japan
Tokyo - Kanazawa - Zao
東京 - 金沢- 蔵王
Japan is a regular travel destination for our family as we truly enjoy it's convenience for travelers and the many many fun things to do in the country! It's been a long time since I visited Japan in the winter and I thoroughly enjoyed the weather. Yes, it was cold, but it was bearable. We spent a total of 12 days there - the longest I have been in Japan. The main cities that we visited were Tokyo, Kanazawa, and Zao.
Here's our 12 day itinerary:

Tokyo was our main transit hub for this trip. We did get to do a couple fun things - TeamLabPlanet and the Making of Harry Potter! I will share some tips on IC cards, Shinkansen, and my onsen experiences in this section.

Kanazawa
Before arriving to Kanazawa, we made a slight detour to Yamanouchi in Nagano to see the Snow Monkeys!

Zao
Situated in northern Honshu, Zao sits between Yamagata and Miyagi prefectures, north of Tokyo in Japan’s Tōhoku region - about 300 kilometers north of Tokyo and roughly 2.5–3 hours by Shinkansen and bus.
